Semi-automatic Welding GMAW and FCAW

Program Description
Do you have manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination? Metalworking may be for you!
You’ll be able to:
- Work with semi-automatic welding machines on steel and stainless steel.
- Use gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and flux cored arc welding (FCAW) techniques.
- Work in various industries specializing in welding.
Admission requirements
Candidates must meet certain criteria.
Must meet one of the following conditions:
- Has obtained at least Secondary III credits or the equivalent in the language of instruction, second language and mathematics;
- Has obtained an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary Studies (AESS);
- Has successfully completed the General Development Test (GDT) with or without specific prerequisites.
Must meet one of the following conditions:
- Has interrupted their full-time studies for at least 12 months;
- Is 18 years old when entering training;
- Has obtained a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or their equivalent;
- Meets the eligibility conditions of Emploi-Québec’s workforce training measure.
