Today in Montreal, Director General Harriet Keleutak received, on behalf of the school board, the 2019 Fitzpatrick Award from Frontier College. This award is a prestigious recognition of the school board for its commitment to improving literacy for children and youth in Nunavik. “We truly value our partnership with Frontier College. It has led to the implementation of successful initiatives, such as a math and literacy tutor program for high school students and summer literacy camps offered in 12 communities. I also want to extend the school board’s gratitude to Etua Snowball and his team at Education Services. They played a key role in the coordination of these programs,” Mrs. Keleutak said.
