On August 21, Nunavik Sivunitsavut welcomed its first cohort of students. Aged between 17 and 38, they come from seven different Nunavik communities. They will be spending the year in Montreal, taking courses that have been carefully designed to provide a foundation to anyone interested in pursuing further higher education. The courses allow students to accumulate CEGEP and college credits while acquiring an invaluable insight into Nunavik, its culture, language and people, as well circumpolar history, politics and governance.
