Complementary and Compassionate Services is proud to have initiated the Reference Guide: Find the right services for every student! This guide is a dynamic tool that the team will continuously improve based on the comments and needs identified by stakeholders in the school environment.

Initiating the process

By following the steps below, staff will be able to:

• Document the measures taken.
• Follow the student’s progress throughout the support process.
• Ensure clean and effective communication between the different stakeholders, by promoting the adoption of a coherent and coordinated approach.

The Complementary and Compassionate Services team stresses the importance of collaboration between all players involved in student support services. By working closely together, specialized stakeholders and parents can provide global and personalized support for each student.

Intervention plan (IP): an important part of the process

This is a detailed plan of specific measures to be taken to support a student with special needs, with the aim of fostering his or her development and success. The IP helps to coordinate services and guarantee that each student receives the appropriate needs tailored to his or her needs.

We hope that this turnkey guide will greatly facilitate the work of school personnel and contribute to improving the quality of support offered to students.
