The Travelling Printmaking course is offered through the Kativik Ilisarniliriniq Adult Education and Vocational Training department, with the support of KRG. Artist and instructor Lyne Bastien has been travelling to three Nunavik communities per year teaching linocut printing.

It is a simple method of printing that is very similar in approach to the stonecut printing, a widespread technique used by many Inuit artists. With linocut, a drawing is done then transferred to a soft rubber plate that is inked before being printed on paper. The course is offered to everyone who is 16 years of age and older.

Participants spend time working on their original artwork and coming up with their own designs.
